Last weekend we had a fantastic time gathering in homes throughout the city to eat and share life together! We are excited to be back at Goodwill this Sunday. Join us at 10.30am on the 3rd Flood of Goodwill Industries for music, teaching, kids and youth programs and communion together.

On Sunday it was great to have Pete Maddocks form St. Paul’s congregational church in Chatham with us. Pete introduced a new spiritual discipline that we will practicing throughout October called Lectio Divina. Lectio Divina is the practice of spiritual reading. To learn more listen to Pete’s teaching at www.cityview.cc/teaching and find out more about Lectio Divina on our spiritual disciplines site at www.ctiyview.cc/dojo. There are exercises there that you can practice as an individual or in a group!
This weekend we are having Thanksgiving Table Fellowship as a community. We continue to be compelled by a vision of eating and sharing our lives together. Our hope is that nobody would eat alone this Thanksgiving. For details and RSVP go to www.cityview.cc/thanksgiving
This is just a reminder that this Sunday we have TEAM MORNING before our Sunday gathering. We are asking anyone who is currently on one of our Sunday teams (kids, youth, music, host, etc.), or those who are interested in being on a Sunday team, to join us this Sunday morning for a time of training together! It is going to be a fantastic morning to join in together and talk through what our team responsibilities are going to look like in the future! We are excited to gather as a community tomorrow morning at 10.30am at Goodwill Industries. We will sing and celebrate Jesus, continue to walk through the gospel of Mark, come to the tables as a family, and of course there are kids and youth programs for babies to grade 8. Can't wait to see you!
*** EMOTIONAL HEALTH MID-WEEK PODCAST This week we look at the sixth principle of an emotionally health church: Making Incarnation Our Model For Loving Well. This week Heather Fess (wait, what?!) takes a few minutes to share about the tension between entering someone's world while still holding onto yourself—a key idea in loving others well and being emotionally healthy.
