Summer is always a fantastic time as a community! We are looking forward to the next six weeks together! www.cityview.cc/
Our spiritual practice for the months of June and July is Sabbath. We have a bunch of resources that can help you with Sabbath over at www.cityview.cc/dojo.
We had a fantastic time at Church In The Park on Sunday! We had brunch together, our kiddos played some old school picnic games and we crowned new Corn Hole Champs for 2018.
This Sunday is Church In The Park! ------------------------- We are excited to gather at Springbank Park at 10.30am! Join us near the pavilion in the park for a pot luck brunch, activities for the kids, and our annual Corn Hole Tournament. This will be a great time to connect with others in the church family! There is also the park and the wading pool close by for the kiddos! ------------------------- So, bring some lawn chairs, something to share with the community to eat for brunch (cutlery and drinks will be provided), and we will have a great time together! We will see you Sunday!

Tonight we are gathering together to eat and pray as a community. 6.15pm at Dru and Heather's house. Bring something to share for dinner!
Our theme verse when we started City View over seven years ago was 1 Thessalonians 2:8. Paul writes to a small church in Greece, “Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” When we started our community we didn’t want to just share the epic news of the kingdom of God. We wanted that, but we also wanted to do this as we shared our lives with each other. And we’ve seen this happen! People have experienced Jesus through community. Others have been baptized. Babies have been dedicated to Jesus. Our emphasis on the spiritual disciplines this year has been so good, with many people participating. First time moms have been cared for, kids have been discipled and our community meals have provided an opportunity for people to share life together, wrestle through questions and grow together. Little by little, step by step, we are thankful that many are cultivating a deep and meaningful life in God.
A reminder that this Sunday is Sabbath Sunday! Enjoy time with friends, family and enjoy celebrating Canada. We also wanted to remind you that our spiritual practice for the summer is Sabbath. There are a bunch of resources on Sabbath at www.cityview.cc/dojo.
