GET INVOLVED AT CITY VIEW!
At the core of who we are as a community is the fundamental belief that church is people—we are family. With this in mind, we believe that City View Church should be the work of God through His people. Because we are a church without a building it takes an incredible group of people, week in and week out, working together to see our gatherings and experiences take place.
People often ask: how can I get involved? We are glad you asked!
It takes a number of teams working together on a weekly basis to make our Sunday gatherings happen. We meet in rented space, which means there is a little bit of extra work on Sundays to take the amazing space we rent at Goodwill Industries and transform it.
As a church we would love to see people serving for years down the road. With this in mind, all of our Sunday teams require participants to be scheduled once a month.
Host and Welcome Team
The Host and Welcome Team is really the front line of City View Church. Not only do they help set-up and transform our space, prepare communion and other components for our Sunday gatherings, and help pack our gatherings down into the trailer, they also help by welcoming people to our gatherings when the arrive. This team helps offer any insight for people who are new or visiting and also helps distribute communion the morning they are scheduled.
Sunday arrival for Host and Welcome Team: 8.30am
Our music team leads us in music and worship every single week with our designated worship leaders. If you have experience in instruments like guitar, bass, drums, piano, as well as in vocals, this may be the team for you! Auditions take place through one of our experienced team members.
Sunday arrival for Music Team: 8.30am
Our prayer team is a group of people that is made available to pray with people at our Sunday gatherings. There is obviously little set up for this team. Their main responsibility is to be available to pray for others during worship, or at the end of our gatherings in the back corner or on the porch during warmer months.
Sunday arrival for Prayer Team: 10am
Nursery and Preschool Team
Our Nursery and Preschool Team work to lead and look after our babies and children up to the age of 4. This involves setting up the designated room for this experience on Sundays, leading the experience during the gathering, packing the room down and taking the kids supplies and resources to the trailer following the gathering.

Elementary Kids Team
Our Elementary Kids Team cares for those in JK-Grade 4. Participating on the Elementary Kids Team involves setting up the designated room for this experience on Sundays, running the video curriculum and small groups as part of the elementary experience, packing down the room and taking the kids supplies and resources to the trailer following the gathering.
Elementary leaders also have the opportunity to participate in other events, including BOUNCE Kids Retreat, every year.

COMMUNITY GROUPS (MID-WEEK)
Our vision at City View is to Practice The Way of Jesus Together. When someone asks, “How can I get involved at City View outside of Sundays?” the answer is pretty simple: Community Groups.
Community Groups are small communities of people that live out the gospel together. They generally meet either weekly or bi-weekly in homes. We see a Community Group in our context as a FAMILY of DISCIPLES on a common MISSION. Our groups eat, play, pray, study the scriptures and serve together. The goal is to become like family and live out the implications of the Good News of Jesus!
Participate In A Community Group
The best way to get involved at City View is by immersing yourself in a Community Group! Our groups are hands down the best way to meet and serve other people, use your gifts and walk with others in community.
We can help you get involved. Just go to www.cityview.cc/groups to express interest.
Lead A Community Group
Are you someone who loves to build community? Do you have a home or know of a third space where a small community could meet and develop?
One of our goals is to make it easy to lead a Community Group. We are in the process of putting together a primer (document) together that will help you understand what it takes and how you can readily start a community. (Coming Fall 2018).
If you have interest in leading a group, e-mail Dru Fess at email@example.com
