On Sunday I mentioned in our teaching "The Orphan, The Widow + The Foreigner" that I would post a lecture I listened to on sweatshops, clothing and labor ethics.
I have been talking with a few people in our church, including people in my community group, about how we consume in the west and have been asking the question: does what we consume in Canada oppress others?
Below is an hour long lecture called Sweatshops, Justice and The Way of Jesus from Bridgetown Church in Portland. I had a chance to visit Bridgetown in March and it was fantastic.
In this lecture Dr. Gerry Breshears and Josh Porter talk about biblical justice and how this effects what we buy and consume.
